Blackburn High School JOBCAMP
Students from Year 9-12 had the opportunity to gain skills and certificates from industry professionals through our first-ever JOBCAMP.
Students interested in Hospitality received their RSA, Food Safety Handling and Barista & Café Skills certificates.
Students interested in Construction have received their First Aid and Stop/Slow Bat and White Card OH&S Training certificates.
Our first group of JOBCAMP students were amazing to work with and the success of the program has made sure we will give more students this opportunity in the coming years.
Year 12 Day One Presentation and Year 10 Positive Futures Day
This year our Careers team has had a focus on delivering more Careers Programs face to face with our students.
Run by Jay Brutovic covering post-school planning, life after school and dispelling common myths about tertiary education.
Year 10 students attended a similar interactive session with Jay Brutovic in Term 2 covering VCE pathways, Vocational Education and Training and preparing for senior school.
We look forward to providing more of these interactive events with more year levels.
