Taking learning and the curriculum outside the classroom is a core objective of our Camps and Tours program.

The camps and tours are “classrooms outside the four walls”. They provide students with active learning through fun and rewarding personal challenges in different and often beautiful settings.

The program helps students realise their potential in communication, decision making, problem solving, resilience, team building, working collaboratively and leadership.

At Blackburn High School our camps include:

• Year 7 Transition Camp
• Year 9 Duke of Edinburgh Camp
• STEM Tour to Croatia Years 9-12 – biennial camp
• Central Australia Tour Years 10-12 – biennial camp
• Music Camp Years 7-12 – Generations in Jazz
