Blackburn High School Support
Blackburn High School will be providing comprehensive support to Year 12 Students and Families during the VCE Results and Change of Preference Periods.
VTAC, Course and Careers Support will be provided by Jay Brutovic (Pathways Leader).
Campus Open: From 10am on Thursday 11th December 2025 for students who require support from Blackburn HS staff members face to face or via Phone/Microsoft Teams call
Appointments Available: Until 4pm Friday 12th December 2025 before the VTAC Change of Preference Period closes at 12pm (Noon) Saturday 13th December 2025
Appointment Duration: 15-minute appointments to receive support and advice regarding VTAC, Change of Preference and Tertiary Offers
⚠️ Important: All students who wish to attend the Blackburn High School campus must book in for an appointment and sign in at the General Office before making their way to the Pathways Office (Resource Centre).

VCE Results & ATAR Release
You can access your VCE study scores, ATAR and VTAC Scaled Study Scores from 7am on Thursday 11th December 2025 via the VCE Results and ATAR website/app and the VTAC website/app.
ATAR Privacy & Access
The ATAR is owned by VTAC and each individual student. Through the VCAA enrolment process, you authorise the release of ATARs to your school. That authority is limited to the use of ATARs for individual counselling and aggregated reports. Access to ATAR information is provided solely for the purpose of preparing for counselling, and strict controls on the use of this data are in place.
As a result, Blackburn HS can only release ATAR information and engage in conversations with you personally after 10am on Thursday 11th December 2025.
❌ No ATAR information can be provided over the phone, via email or to family or friends.
Changing Your VTAC Preferences and VTAC Offer Rounds
Students will have the opportunity to change and reorder their preferences on the VTAC website until 12pm (Noon) on Saturday 13th December 2025.
✓ You are not penalised for changing your VTAC preferences at this time
✓ You can change your preferences as many times as you like before 12pm (Noon) on Saturday 13th December 2025
✓ All major tertiary institutions are holding Change of Preference Events between the 11th and 13th of December 2025 if you would like more information on the courses that you are applying for. Check the Calendar on the Blackburn HS Careers Website for all the dates and times.
Tips for Managing Your Preferences
Early Entry Programs: If you have been unsuccessful in applying for any Early Entry programs, now is the perfect time to replace these preferences with others. If you have been notified that your Early Entry Application has been successful, ensure the Early Entry preference is as high up in your preferences as possible if that is the course you are wanting to do.
VTAC Offer Rounds
December Offer Round
Offers for courses are then provided to students in the main VTAC December Offer Round at 10am on Tuesday 23rd December 2025.
Students will only receive one December offer and can log on to the VTAC website to view and accept their offer.
⭐ Important Recommendation
Blackburn High School encourages all students to accept their December offer regardless of whether they are satisfied with their offer.
Accepting any offer does not prevent students from receiving offers in subsequent rounds; however, receiving a later offer is not guaranteed and is far less likely due to availability when compared with the main VTAC December Offer Round.
January & February Offer Rounds
After the VTAC December Offer Round, students will have another chance to change and reorder their VTAC Preferences if they are unsatisfied with the offer they have received.
Preferences for the following VTAC January Round 1 Offer on Tuesday 13th January 2026 must be set by 4pm Wednesday 24th December 2025.
