2026 House Performing Arts Festival
Blackburn High School’s annual House Performing Arts Festival was an extraordinary celebration of creativity, talent and school spirit, drawing more than 500 audience members and showcasing the efforts of over 200 student performers. Each House took to the stage with a full-scale production: Dunlop performed Little Shop of Horrors, Freeman presented Newsies, Hollows brought the energy of Mamma Mia!, and Melba lit up the stage with Footloose. The evening was a powerful showcase of collaboration and dedication, with students contributing not only as performers, but also through choreography, set design, costumes, lighting and sound. Months of rehearsal culminated in a vibrant, professional and highly entertaining event that highlighted the depth of talent within our school.
Congratulations to Freeman House who were adjudged the winner on the evening. Thank you to the amazing students, parents, carers and staff who make this event what it is. Bring on 2027!
Each performance is produced, performed and directed by the students themselves!
