The 2025 off-session competition was held at BHS over the July school holidays.
It was very well supported by students from the team both before the event, preparing and practicing with the robot, and during the event.
The team had to make several major changers to both their approach to the problems/design and the actual working parts of the robot leading up to this competition. The team was able to practice, evaluate and make changers to the robot over Term 3.
During the weekend of this competition, all of our team members displayed “Gracious Professionalism®” which is part of the ethos of FIRST, all the while, the leadership students managed all the issues that come from getting a robot on the field for each qualifying match. All the team worked very hard over the entire weekend, and we overcame many issues along the way before qualifying 22nd.
Alliance 6 chose our team to be part of the finals but unfortunately our alliance was defeated in two rounds.
A big ‘thank you’ to ALL of our Robotics Team for their work and commitment to the team before and during this competition and especially our student leadership team: Alex Woodhouse, Amarli W, Daniel D and Yasmine S.
