The Centre for Youth Literature, State Library Victoria promotes reading as an active, pleasurable and essential activity for all young people. We believe that reading is not just something that is done as school work.
Inside a Dog is a project of the Centre for Youth Literature.
The Centre for Youth Literature is supported by the Australia Council, to promote Australian writers and their work.
The site has been also made possible with the generous support of The Age.
The Teacher Resources were funded as part of the digital education content initiatives and strategies of the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.
The site promotes young adult literature, highlighting Australian writers and their work, and includes the best of the international scene.
We welcome the views of readers, including reviews, opinion, discussion, competition entries, and feedback.
The Centre also presents a dynamic program of creative reading activities for young people and professionals. We champion youth literature across the broader cultural spectrum. We are a national resource and network, with international connections in the field.
Further information about the centre and program can be found on the State Library of Victoria’s website.
