Applications are called for from Year 10 students and a short list of three students is compiled for the Directors of Charman Partners. Short listed students are then interviewed by a panel of Charman Partners personnel to select the successful awardee.
Criteria for selection are:
- A genuine and informed interest in an accounting-based career
- Personal attributes needed to succeed both as a student and in a business career such as communication skills, inter-personal skills, team-working skills, problem solving skills, enthusiasm and dedication
- Involvement and achievement in a range of activities and interests
- Demonstrated leadership qualities or potential
- Academic ability

The scholarship covers school fees, books, external courses and skills development and additional equipment.
