Blackburn High School accepts full-fee paying students from overseas as part of the Victorian Department of Education and Early Childhood Development International Program. See www.study.vic.gov.au  

 

To enrol prospective students must first be accepted as students in this program and meet Visa requirements. See http://www.education.vic.gov.au/students/international/

 

International students at Blackburn must live with a family member or in a home-stay. To assist with their English the home-stay must be English speaking.

 

International Students study a semester of English language before commencing at Blackburn High School. Blackburn English Language School is the nearest provider.  Students must gain the necessary level of English language competency before entering V.C.E. A semester at an English Language School is the minimum requirement. It is an advantage to come by the beginning of Year 10.
