Information for New Students

untitled-2-copy1Our aim is to maximise the educational opportunities for all students by organising the school into three sub-schools: Junior (yr. 7), Middle (yrs. 8 - 9) and Senior (yrs. 10, 11 and 12).

Years 7 - 10 students follow curriculum courses designed around the Victorian Essential Learning Standards (VELS) and are assessed accordingly. This allows them to undertake work at a variety of levels within the classroom.

Years 11 & 12, most students undertake the Victorian Certificate of Education while some students supplement this with VET courses at another provider. In this instance students are able to undertake VCE over three years, to either reduce the load in a given year or to accelerate their learning, culminating in the allowed maximum of six Unit 3 & 4 sequences counted in their university entrance (ENTER) score.

We provide opportunities for extension and enrichment within the classroom and through an extensive co-curricular program while remaining focused on a successful transition to secondary school and beyond.

There are a number of support services for students experiencing difficulties and challenges to provide every opportunity in achieving their best.
