Alumni

Blackburn High School is keen to stay in touch with its Alumni. One of our Values is “Stewardship” and this is inclusive of looking after and respecting our history and all the people who have been a part of this school community.

You are welcome to visit the school. If you would like to do this please contact us to arrange a time when it would be mutually convenient.

If you have a piece of news about yourself or your achievements you would like to have posted on this website please email the school at blackburn.hs@edumail.vic.gov.au and we will arrange this.

Please email the school your current email address as we try and maintain a data base of ex-students.

Please click on the sidebar menus for more information, bearing in mind that we need your contributions to make these interesting and informative. Your year group is the year in which you completed Year 12 or were scheduled to do so.

Jubilee Gates

Just over $11,000 was contributed in 2006 for gates to commemorate the Jubilee of the school. Most of this was collected from ex-students.

Now, in 2009, we are in the process of redesigning the entrance to the school from Springfield Road and the Jubilee gates will be incorporated into this design. They will include a plaque acknowledging the contribution of the alumni. $200,000.00 towards this project, which will provide a safe drop-off area for students arriving by bus or car, is being provided by the Federal government as a “School Pride” project. These are part of the Federal Government’s Stimulus Package.

It is anticipated that work on this new entrance will occur during Term 4.
